Our Story

Two brothers, 800 acres, and twenty-five years of doing it our way

How It All Started

From Texas to Bladenboro

It started in the late 1990s when Ronald and Joe Allen traveled to Texas for a hunt. The shoot lit them up — and on the drive home, the two brothers had the same thought: "We can do this at home."

In 2000, they opened the hunting preserve on family land in Bladenboro, North Carolina. They started small, focused on traditional quail hunting. Word got around — about the hunts, about Joe's cooking, and about the way guests got treated like family the minute they pulled in the drive.

What started as a small quail operation has grown into 800+ acres, a 12-room lodge, a full-service gun store, an event venue, an RV destination, and a Creek Boats dealership — all run by the same family, on the same land.

What We Stand For

Three things we don't compromise on

Family First

We treat every guest like family. From the moment you pull up the driveway, you're part of the Allen Brothers — that's hospitality, not service.

Stuff That Works

From the habitat we manage to the gear on our shelves: if we wouldn't run it ourselves, we don't put our name on it. Plain and simple.

Land Stewardship

We're stewards of this land — and we plan to be for the long haul. Every season's habitat work is done with the next generation in mind.

Notable Visitors

Over the years, we've been honored to host some remarkable guests

Allen Brothers has welcomed guests from all walks of life — from local families and corporate groups to professional athletes and public figures. Our guest list includes players from the Pittsburgh Steelers and Indianapolis Colts, as well as Donald Trump Jr. — all drawn by the same thing: good hunts, good food, and a property that feels like nowhere else.

"It doesn't matter who you are—when you're here, you're family."

— Ronald Allen
